1. Overview

CartPay provides Bitcoin checkout tools for Shopify merchants, including hosted checkout pages, payment status detection, merchant dashboards, and order sync features.

2. Merchant Responsibility

Merchants are responsible for their own products, store policies, customer service, tax obligations, refunds, shipping, and legal compliance in their operating region.

3. Bitcoin Payments

Bitcoin transactions may be irreversible. Merchants should verify payment status before fulfilling orders. CartPay does not guarantee blockchain confirmation times or network fee conditions.

4. No Custody

CartPay is designed as a checkout and automation layer. Unless separately agreed in writing, CartPay does not operate as a custodial wallet or hold merchant funds.

5. Hosted Mode

Hosted Mode may require manual approval, setup, wallet configuration, and ongoing account review. CartPay may suspend hosted access if misuse, fraud risk, or policy violations are detected.

6. Service Availability

We aim to keep CartPay reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, third-party outages, blockchain delays, or Shopify/API changes may affect service.

7. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, violate laws, attempt fraud, or create operational/security risk.
